Chapter 3 brings with it a new Chapter Pass, several changes to core levitation gameplay, and a whole lot of bug fixes!
Chapter 3 Pass Bundles
Chapter 3 introduces 2 new bundles for the Chapter Pass - the Elemental Pack and the Crackshot Pack:
Crackshot Pack - $99.99
The Crackshot pack includes:
- 13,500 Gold (10,000 + 3,500 bonus)
- Chapter 3 Pass with a +100% bonus modifier for Reputation earned
- The Stoic Crackshot outfit
- The Adherent of the Elements outfit
The Elemental Pack - $24.99
The Elemental Pack includes:
- 2,800 Gold (2,500 + 300 bonus)
- Chapter 3 Pass with a +50% bonus modifier for Reputation earned
- The Adherent of the Elements outfit
Note that the reputation modifiers are not stackable - only the highest level modifier will be applied to reputation gained. Additionally, the Gold from these bundles will only be available on the platform on which it was purchased. So if you buy a bundle on Xbox, you would not be able to see the Gold balance in your Steam account, for example.
Additionally, if you choose to buy a bundle later on during the chapter, you'll have the reputation modifier applied retroactively to all reputation earned thus far. You'll also unlock the Honor Quests that were available during the weeks in which you did not have the Chapter Pass!
Play the Story at Your Own Pace
Starting with this Chapter, you won't have to wait each week for new Story Quests to unlock! On launch day, ALL Story quests will unlock as you complete them - so you're free to take your time or complete them all in one night!
As usual, you can still expect about 3 months of content, however now you can play it at your own pace with no risk of missing any of the Story Quests.
Note: Honor quests will still be released on a weekly cadence.
Changes to Levitation and Movement
This chapter aims to bring quicker, less vertical combat to Spellbreak!
Along with some tweaking of values, an entirely new dodge mechanic has been added to enable quicker horizontal movements during fights.
There have been enough tweaks to levitation and movement to warrant having it's own article, so click here to read more about it!
Color Accessibility Options
For those with visual impairments, we have added several preset Color Accessibility options that may make certain game elements more visible. Our intent was to target those with the most common forms of visual impairment to make their Spellbreak lives easier!
For more info on these, check out this article!
Friends / Party Features
We're adding some highly requested features to the Friends List and Party flows, including:
- The ability to add a friend on the Dominion post-game scoreboard
- Removing the ability to "force join" a party (this now sends a request instead)
- Options to disband a party to play smaller game-modes, instead of them being greyed-out
There are also several backend features that should improve the overall experience of joining/inviting friends and forming parties!
Cosmetic Loadouts
By popular demand, we've added a feature that allows you to set and store a specific loadout for each elemental Class!
For more information on this feature, read here.
